I was responsible for overall identity, look and feel, materials sourcing and manufacturing, textures, fixtures and fittings, layout and flow. My client wanted a authentic New York styled space so I interpreted this into my own idea of the theme. I used aged oak as my wood textures but incorporated recycled cardboard in the theme chairs I designed. I placed copper accents in the wood panelling which brought in a warm retro feel. I only use real, natural materials like thick nu buck leather and solid oak as I feel that if you start with the best your product can only get better with age and wear. This brings a more authentic feel to the space as time goes on.

The toilet space was extremely small so I utilized a camera obscure technique and inverted a Manhattan skyline wallpaper with a mirror on the ceiling which, when you look up gave the impression of infinite space in such a small area. This was very effective in creating the illusion of a bigger expanse and giving it a very unique bathroom experience.
